Empowering the Individual Voice

At the heart of my work is a belief that each dancer’s voice is unique, worthy, and essential. Through improvisation, choreography, and creative risk-taking, I help dancers connect to their individuality, build confidence, embrace risk, and develop a deeper sense of purpose in movement and owned artistry.

Cross-Training for Smart, Strong Dancers

Great artistry is supported by solid technique. My training draws from ballet traditions, contemporary movement principles, functional anatomy, and strength conditioning to build more efficient, responsive, and powerful dancers. Technique is not just about lines, it is about understanding how the body works best.

Brain-Body Integration Is Everything

Using targeted neuro tools and dance science, I help dancers tap into the power of the nervous system and understand their brain. By activating vision, balance, and proprioception, dancers unlock better coordination, faster learning, and greater adaptability, setting the stage for optimal performance and growth.

I have spent my life immersed in dance as a performer, choreographer, educator, and lifelong learner. My work lives in the space where technique meets science, where dancers are encouraged to explore, question, and express. I believe in building strong, curious, and introspective movers. Dancers who understand their bodies, trust their instincts, and are not afraid to take creative risks.

Dance by Jana is more than just classes and training. It is a platform for education, choreography, and reflection for dancers, teachers, and creators who want to grow their craft with integrity. From cross-training and improvisation to studio tips and creative research, Dance by Jana is a space for honest dialogue, expert guidance, and reimagining what dance can be.
